GOOFA DOESN'T FIRE AGAIN IN THE FINALS

1st Qtr was fairly even and was played at a ferocious pace
Cats across halfback was putting his body on the line, Leeroy
on the wing was busy, Del're was getting plenty of it in the centre
as was Senese. Cantas had a really good qtr as well. Big
sticks kicked a major and Barra and Bentley kicked 2 beauties. The
second qtr saw Essendon kick 5 goals to 2. Micko in the ruck was
fantastic ( definately a finals specialist ) Kones was doing some
hard work in the centre and Louie was starting to create some run
out of defence. Cantas kicked 2 for the qtr and Pigmy slotted one
after doing a blind turn. Mordialloc came out firing in the 3rd qtr
and got within 15 points. Mocca was moved into the forward line
which gave Essendon more strength. Prosser was spraying his shots
at goal . Todos ran back into on coming traffic and got knocked out
- what an inspirational effort - play was stopped until he went off
the ground. The last qtr saw Essendon slam on 6 goals to 1 pt to
run out easy winners - 6 individual goal kickers for the qtr a
great team effort on the day. Tambo came in the side at the last
minute - Thoomo skipper was solid in defence, Brebs & Pez
showed their home ground knowledge and Corey Farrugia did his job
once again creating opportunities up forward.
